Angela Müller has a Ph.D. in Law and a M.A. in Political and Economic Philosophy. She wrote her doctoral thesis on the extraterritorial applicability of human rights—inter alia in light of the use of new technologies—at the University of Zurich, where she worked as SNSF Ph.D. candidate and research assistant. She was a Visiting Researcher at Columbia University, New York, and Hebrew University, Jerusalem.
Prior to her current position, Angela Müller was project leader at the foreign policy think tank foraus, project manager for an innovation platform at Lucerne University of Applied Sciences and Arts, and academic intern at the Federal Department of Foreign Affairs FDFA. In addition, she serves as Vice President of the UN Association Switzerland.
Dr. Anna Mätzener is managing director of AlgorithmWatch Switzerland. She holds a PhD in Mathematics from the University of Zürich, where she also minored in Philosophy and Italian Linguistics. Before joining AlgorithmWatch Switzerland, she was Editor for Mathematics and History of Science at an international scientific publisher, and most recently taught Mathematics at a high school in Zürich.
Michele Loi, Ph.D. is Senior Research Advisor at AlgorithmWatch Switzerland. He is Senior Researcher at the Institute of Biomedical Ethics and the History of Medicine, and Research Fellow at the Digital Society Initiative, University of Zürich. In 2015–2016, as a consultant, he coordinated the writing of the World Health Organization Guidance For Managing Ethical Issues In Infectious Disease Outbreaks and helped drafting the World Health Organization Guidelines on Ethical Issues in Public Health Surveillance.
